Organise your own Memory Walk and unite your school against dementia.
Organising your own memory walk is really easy! It can be anything you want it to be, it's Your Walk. Your Way. We'll provide guides and ideas about fundraising for your Memory Walk, and we've also got some PSHE accredited Youth Engagement materials to help you educate the next generation about dementia.
A guide to organising your own memory walk
1. Choose date, location and size
The first thing you need to do is decide what, where and when. Simply choose a date between 1st August to 31st October 2018. If you'd like to host your walk outwith this time, let us know by email.
2. Tell us about your walk
Only the organiser of the walk needs to register but please tell us how many people you are expecting. Don't worry if these details change, just let us know when they do.
3. Promote your walk
We can provide press release templates, invitations and promotional posters so you can tell people in your local area about your Memory Walk.
Changing details and cancellation
If your details have changed or your event has been cancelled, please let the Memory Walk team know.
If you'd like to organise a walk outside of Memory Walk season, please visit our Challenge Events pages here.
