What to expect
Challenge yourself with this 19km walk along the Solent way. Starting at Castle Field, go up the promenade toward the Royal Marines museum. Follow signs along to Langstone Harbour, before heading back to Castle Field. The route has a mix of terrain, including compact paths, pavement and gravel – there are some muddy patches in wet weather so please wear suitable footwear. Please note all routes and distances are subject to change.
For more information about the walk, including what to bring on the day and FAQs, check out the event factsheet.
The route will start and finish at Castle Field, where you can get ready for your Memory Walk Plus in our walk village. Join fellow walkers who are all eager to go the extra mile, warm up and go! Before you set off take a moment to reflect on who you are walking for by leaving a message on the Memory Tree. Please note the event site is on grass.
