What to expect on the day
Take the shorter 3km walk for a gentle stroll along the coastline which is suitable for Memory Walkers of all ages including pushchairs and wheelchairs. The longer 6km walk will take you further along the coastline. Please note all routes and distances are subject to change.
All routes will start and finish next to the Oval Bandstand, where there will be a hive of activity to get everyone ready for Memory Walk. Please note the event site is on grass. Take a moment to reflect on who you are walking for by leaving a message on the Memory Tree and watch it blossom through the day.
How to get there
Memory Walk will start and finish at the Oval Bandstand on Queen's Promenade.
There is no dedicated event parking, please use city centre parking and public transport. The Oval Bandstand is 2.5km from Margate train station, and there are bus routes that run close by.
To keep Margate environmentally friendly, please choose the most sustainable method of transport and car share where possible.
Registration will close Thursday 10th October 2019 and you will not be able to register at the event. So sign up now and get your team members to do so too!
