What to expect on the day

The route will take you through the iconic park which is beautifully lit up at night, going around the Velodrome building and right around the outside of the grand Olympic Stadium. It is accessible to pushchairs and wheelchairs; the event site is on short grass. Don’t forget your walking boots and glow sticks! Please note all routes and distances are subject to change.

The route will start and finish at Hopkin's Field in the North Park, where there will be a hive of activity to get everyone ready for Memory Walk.  Amongst the excitement, take a moment to reflect on who you are walking for and leave a message on the Memory Tree and watch it blossom through the day.

How to get there

The start/finish area in Hopkin's Field is in the north part of the Olympic Park. Follow the path north from the Copperbox Arena, or west from the Velodrome. The postcode E15 2EE shows the location of the event area, however, there is no parking available at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and Westfield parking closes early.

The event start area is less than 2km walk from Stratford stations. Please use public transport to travel to Stratford or Stratford International via overground and underground services and follow directions from our Memory Walk Volunteers all the way to the event area.

Registration will close Thursday 4th October 2018 and you will not be able to register at the event. So sign up now and get your team members to do so too!
