What to expect on the day
Take the shorter 3.5km walk for a gentle stroll around the historic city, including the Guild Hall and St Paul's Cathedral which is suitable for Memory Walkers of all ages including pushchairs and wheelchairs. The longer 7.5km walk will take you along the Thames and will includes of Tower Bridge, the Globe Theatre and Tate Modern. Don’t forget your walking boots! Please note all routes and distances are subject to change.
All routes will start and finish at Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) Grounds, where there will be a hive of activity to get everyone ready for Memory Walk. Please note the event site is on grass. Amongst the excitement take a moment to reflect on who you are walking for and leave a message on the Memory Tree and watch it blossom through the day.
How to get there
Memory Walk will start and finish on the lawn at HAC grounds, please enter from Bunhill Row (B144).
There is no dedicated parking available at HAC grounds please use public transport. The nearest tube station is Moorgate which is 300m away on City Road. Both Old Street and Liverpool Street stations are nearby too. For more information on alternative public transport links and routes please visit https://tfl.gov.uk/.
To keep London environmentally friendly please choose the most sustainable method of transport and car share where possible.
Registration will close Thursday 11th October 2018 and you will not be able to register at the event. So sign up now and get your team members to do so too!
