What to expect on the day

Take the shorter 2km walk for a gentle stroll around the park, past the sports fields, which is suitable for Memory Walkers of all ages including pushchairs and wheelchairs.  The longer 6km walk will take you beyond the park to the north side and through the woods, so isn't accessible to wheelchairs. Don’t forget your wellies and walking boots! Please note all routes and distances are subject to change.

All routes will start and finish in Stoke Park, where there will be a hive of activity to get everyone ready for Memory Walk. Please note the event site is on grass.  Amongst the excitement, take a moment to reflect on who you are walking for and leave a message on the Memory Tree and watch it blossom through the day.

How to get there

Memory Walk will start and finish at the Nightingale Road end of Stoke Park, by the nursery.

There is no event parking available at Stoke Park or the Guildford Spectrum. Please use city centre parking and public transport. The park is a 400m walk from London Road train station and 2.5km from Guildford station.

To keep Guildford environmentally friendly please choose the most sustainable method of transport and car share or use public transport where possible.

Registration will close Thursday 4th October 2018 and you will not be able to register at the event. So sign up now and get your team members to do so too!
