Why are we asking for your email address?

We ask for your email address so we can update you on Memory Walk and share fundraising hints and tips. To register online you will need to provide an email address. If you have difficulties registering, please call us on 0300 330 5452.

The wonderful people of GLOW Tyneside have so far raised £9,001

With every step you will help change the lives of people affected by dementia – now and in the future. Register yourself or a team, and start fundraising today!

Join us in Baltic Square this March for a Memory Walk with a difference – it’s time to GLOW!

Your £10 entry fee supports us to organise the day, but unfortunately it won’t beat dementia alone. This is why your fundraising is so important. An average GLOW Walker raises over £160 each, so we suggest you set this as your fundraising target. But whatever your target, and whatever you raise, you will be changing the lives of those affected by dementia!

We’ll be here to support you every step of the way and you’ll receive a pack with everything needed for the event, including your Memory Walk t-shirt.

Thinking about taking part as a group? Invite your friends and family to join you by sharing the link and team code sent in your confirmation email. Team members can set individual fundraising targets, or you can fundraise together and work towards a team total.

Get ready to GLOW

Memory Walk’s brand new event, GLOW, will be shining a light on dementia, with a walk after dark on Tyneside.

Join your fellow glow-getters at Baltic Square, where the event will start and finish. Please note the event site is on paved ground. Take in the atmosphere, grab your glowsticks and get ready to walk alongside hundreds of others to shine a light on dementia.

See the local area lit up as the 5km walk takes you along the iconic Newcastle Quayside and River Tyne. The route is on paths without steps, and so is suitable for wheelchairs. Please note the route and distance is subject to change.

Getting there

There is no dedicated event parking, please use city centre parking and public transport. Baltic Square is 1.5km walk from Newcastle train station and Gateshead Metro. Please choose the most sustainable method of transport, or car share where possible.
