What to expect on the day

The short route will take a stroll through the Pleasure Gardens and is wheelchair friendly. The longer route is more challenging weaving through nearby grassland and woodland, walking through open fields and woodland paths-therefore not suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Please note that the route and route distances are subject to change.

While the short route is on tarmac, please be aware that the event site is on grass.

How to get there

Parking is available by event but please car share where possible. Turn off Greenbury Way using the Writtle Gate entrance to park, then follow the signs. Please note that the London Road entrance will not be in use.  The park is a 25 minute bus ride from Chelmsford rail station and the town centre. For more information you can use the public transport journey planner.
