What to expect on the day

Take the shorter 1.5km walk for a gentle stroll around the city through Anchor and Millennium Square, Cathedral Walk and Hanover Quay which is suitable for Memory Walkers of all ages including pushchairs and wheelchairs. The longer 5km walk will take you around the historic harbour side, past the SS Great Britain and Cumberland Basin, before returning over Pero’s Bridge and along the Waterfront. The long route contains cobbled paths. Please note all routes and distances are subject to change.

All routes will start and finish at Lloyds Amphitheatre, where there will be a hive of activity to get everyone ready for Memory Walk. Amongst the excitement take a moment to reflect on who you are walking for and leave a message on the Memory Tree and watch it blossom through the day.

How to get there

Memory Walk will start and finish at Lloyds Amphitheatre, which is located on the waterfront accessed from Canon’s Way.

There is no dedicated event parking, please use city centre parking and public transport. Lloyds Amphitheatre is 1.5km walk from Bristol Temple Meads.

Memory Walkers can be dropped off at Canon’s Way and Explore Lane. To keep Bristol environmentally friendly please choose the most sustainable method of transport and car share where possible.
