Why are we asking for your email address?

We ask for your email address so we can update you on Memory Walk and share fundraising hints and tips. To register online you will need to provide an email address. If you have difficulties registering, please call us on 0300 330 5452.

With every step you will help change the lives of people affected by dementia – now and in the future. Register yourself or a team, and start fundraising today!

Sign up and walk all over dementia today. Your £10 entry fee supports us to organise the day, but unfortunately it won’t beat dementia alone. This is why your fundraising is so important. An average Memory Walker raises over £160 each, so we suggest you set this as your fundraising target. But whatever your target, and whatever you raise, you will be changing the lives of those affected by dementia!

We’ll be here to support you every step of the way and you’ll receive a pack with everything needed for the event, including your Memory Walk t-shirt.

Thinking about taking part as a group? Invite your friends and family to join you by sharing the link and team code sent in your confirmation email. Team members can set individual fundraising targets, or you can fundraise together and work towards a team total.

Meeting point

Memory Walk will start and finish in the event site at the Jamboree Stone which is located near the centre of the park. Please note, this area is on grass.

Here, you’ll get ready to walk alongside hundreds of others, raising funds to defeat dementia. Take a moment to reflect on who you are walking for by leaving a message on the Memory Tree, and see it blossom throughout the morning.

Walk routes

There are two Memory Walk routes – you choose which to walk on the day of the event. Please note all routes and distances are subject to change, and suitable footwear is recommended.

The shorter 3.5km walk is a gentle stroll around the park which is suitable for Memory Walkers of all ages. This route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs with assistance due to a hill along the route.

The longer 7km walk is a little more challenging, and will take you around the lakeside, moors and woodlands. The route has some uneven and muddy terrain. This route is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs due to the nature of the pathways.

Getting there

Event Parking is available, please use postcode B74 3EW and follow signs for Memory Walk on the approach to the venue.

Please arrive in good time to avoid queues, and note that parking is on grass. For drop-offs only, head to the Streetly Gate entrance and follow advice from stewards.

City centre parking and Sutton Coldfield train station are 3km away. Please consider the most sustainable method of transport, or car share where possible.

Registration will close Wednesday 9th September 2020 and you will not be able to register at the event. So sign up now and get your team members to do so too!
