What to expect on the day

Take the shorter 3.5km walk for a gentle stroll around the park which is suitable for Memory Walkers of all ages including pushchairs and wheelchairs. The longer 7km walk will take you along the lakeside, moors and woodland, but there may be some muddy patches so don’t forget your wellies and walking boots! Please note all routes and distances are subject to change.

All routes will start and finish by Jamboree Stone, near the centre of the park, where there will be a hive of activity to get everyone ready for Memory Walk. Please note the event site is on grass.  Amongst the atmosphere take a moment to reflect on who you are walking for by leaving a message on the Memory Tree and watch it blossom through the day.

How to get there

There is limited event parking at Sutton Park so please car share where possible - congestion is expected so please leave plenty of time to travel. Please use postcode B74 3EW and note that parking is on grass. Access via Streetly Gate only, with parking along the access road not permitted. City centre parking and Sutton Coldfield train station are just a 3km walk away.

To keep Birmingham environmentally friendly please choose the most sustainable method of transport.

Registration will close Thursday 13th September 2018 and you will not be able to register at the event. So sign up now and get your team members to do so too!
