What to expect on the day

Take the shorter 1.5km walk for a gentle stroll around the estate, past the Reconciliation Sculpture which is suitable for Memory Walkers of all ages. The longer 7.5km walk will give beautiful views of Stormont Estate, but don’t forget your wellies and walking boots! Both routes involve a steep hill, so consideration should be made for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Please note all routes and distances are subject to change.

All routes will start and finish by Parliament Buildings, where there will be a hive of activity to get everyone ready for Memory Walk. Please note the event site is on grass.  Amongst the excitement take a moment to reflect on who you are walking for and leave a message on the Memory Tree and watch it blossom through the day.

How to get there

Event Parking is available at Stormont Estate, please use postcode BT4 3SD and follow Memory Walk signage on the approach to the venue. Access via Stoney Road only, there is no access for parking from Massey Avenue. Please arrive in good time to avoid queues.

To keep Belfast environmentally friendly please choose the most sustainable method of transport and car share where possible. Find out more information on public transport on the Translink website.

Registration will close Thursday 13th September 2018 and you will not be able to register at the event. So sign up now and get your team members to do so too!
